Mineyama Microbarometric Database (2010.07 - Latest)

Abstract on this data set

A barometric sensor (Vaisala PTB210) was installed in July 2010 at the Mineyama observatory (35.573N, 135.050E, 146m), which belongs to the DPRI (Disaster Prevention Research Institute), Kyoto University, by the DACGSM (Data Analysis Center for Geomagnetism and Space Magnetism), Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University. The sensitivity is about 1 Pa although the A/D resolution is 0.25 Pa. The time resolution is one second and each value is an average of 490 samples/second, and the absolute accuracy of the clock is also one second with a GPS time server.
The system clock after August 9,2010 advances maximum 30 seconds. Therefore please be careful if you need the time accuracy. We will make correction later and replace with the correct data. (2011.06.20)

This database is open for academic use but not for any operational or commercial purposes. Please acknowledge with appropriate style when you publish a manuscript by using this database. An example of acknowledgments would be as follow: “These microbarometric data were supplied by the DACGSM, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University.”

Data format

Data are written with ASCII characters as a text file. One file contains the data for one UT day. The first 3 lines are the header of the file. Each record indicates the time (Year, Month, Day, Hour. Minutes, Second) and the observed and high-pass filtered data in hPa unit. In FORTRAN, each data record is written in the format; I4,4I3,F6.2,2F10.3

Following is a sample list of the first 15 lines (i.e., for 12 seconds) of the data file on December 24, 2010, “mya20101224.fil”.
